Pete Farnham has been singing and playing guitar and dobro for 30 years. He took up harp about ten years ago, and banjo followed a few years later. In 2001 he began playing and singing with a praise band in a local church, where he met fellow RBTers, Corinne and Dave. In addition to weekly contemporary worship services, the band also played at various fund-raisers for charitable causes. After five years there honing his skills, Pete organized what became Rose Between Thorns in the fall of 2006. Pete especially likes old-timey country and gospel, bluegrass, delta blues, and roots music.
